Benefits

Massage has been used as a healing therapy for thousands of years. The benefits are numerous, but some of the main ones:

  • Reduced muscle tension

  • Increased circulation

  • Increased mobility

  • Increased immune system response

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Overall relaxation

  • Reduction in sleep issues

  • Quicker recovery from illness and/or injuries

  •  Improved mood.

What is a session like?

All sessions are tailored to the client. We will start with a discussion of what is bringing you in and what you would like to be addressed in your session. Whether you are here to just relax and give your body some extra love or you have specific areas that you would like more detailed, specific work done on...or a combination of both. The massage is based on what the client wants addressed plus a little bit of intuition and listening to the body. There is no change in price for the variation in pressure or type of massage requested. Cupping and gua sha (scraping) are also available. We use a hypoallergic lotion.

Also, we offer lymphatic drainage massage! It is a great session to have after surgery (with doctors' clearance). It is also beneficial for clients with lymphedema, vascular insufficiency or just to help clean out toxins from your body. The benefits are to remove excess fluid from the body, enhance healing and immune system function and relaxation. All sessions are done without lotion.
